Your First Room For Quake 3 Arena
This is the tutorial I've had the most requests for, it's nice to see so many new people learning to create their own levels so here goes.

First thing to do is to load up Q3Radiant and to make sure you have a new map loaded (File>New Map)
Before we start making any walls or floors we need to load a texture set which we'll use.
Go to Textures>gothic_block, once the textures have loaded find the texture called blocks11b (you can find the name by clicking a texture and seeing what is displayed in the status bar

With this texture select we will start to draw out our first wall, in the XY Top view place you muse pointer somewhere and with the left button pressed start to move your mouse across the grid

We will be making this wall 320 by 64 units as shown below

What we also need to do is to make sure the height of the wall is okay, depending on what views you have visible we can check this by looking in the Z window

As you can see our wall is 128 units high which is fine for this tutorial.
