This
feature was used in one of the space maps where they
had platforms moving up and down.
It's a simple trick to do and could add something
special to your space maps.
Somewhere in your
level create the platform/thing that will be bobbing
up and down, if the platform has some trim on or any
extra brushes make sure you select them as well.
Right click on the
grid somewhere and select this entity, func>func_bobbing.
Next we need to set
up a few values for everything to work ok, with the
bobbing platform thing still selected press N to
bring up the entity information box and start to add
these values as shown
Key: height
Value: 200
Key: Speed
Value: 3
Obviously you will
need to mess around with these settings until you
find the best one for you.
the speed setting is the time in seconds it takes
our platform to do a full bobbing cycle.
