Mirror Mirror On The Wall
You get the idea.
Mirrors were hardly used in Quake3 due to the fact that they can really slow the game down but I'll show you how to use them anyway.

Load up your map and then load the common texture set and find the texture called mirror1.

Draw a brush out where you want the mirror to be and make sure it has the mirror texture, These can be tricky as we only want one side of the mirror showing otherwise we'll get some shit hot effects :)

As you can see this mirror is based inside of the wall, you could also build a frame around you mirror like a picture frame.

For the mirror to work properly we need to add a misc_portal_surface entity directly in front of the mirror, it must be now more than 64 units away from the mirror.

I wouldn't go daft when putting mirrors in your levels as the speed hit as big and could cause your map to run really slow.
